The search for the University of Minnesota's 18th president

The University of Minnesota has launched a search for its 18th president. This is a consequential moment for our institution and we look forward to finding a visionary, dynamic, and inclusive leader to propel the University forward.

The Board of Regents takes its responsibility to select the University’s president very seriously. We seek to attract a broad and diverse pool of the highest quality candidates, with an emphasis on those who can connect with the people of Minnesota and advance the state’s premiere educational institution. Understandably, all members of our University community—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and people across Minnesota—share high expectations for the University’s success. The Board is committed to engaging the entire University community in this search process.

This site will help you stay informed as the search progresses, and will allow you to share your thoughts and input. Please stay tuned for more updates in the weeks and months to come.

Sincerely,

Regent Janie S. Mayeron, Chair
Regent Doug A. Huebsch, Co-Vice Chair
Regent Mike O. Kenyanya, Co-Vice Chair
